my moments
A photographer seen through photography.
more of me
Hi, I’m Phil. When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually rock climbing, fly fishing, planning a road trip, or awkwardly standing on the edge of a run club (still waiting for that part to feel normal). With what you’ve seen so far, it may not surprise you that I held my own wedding in Yosemite National Park and spent 12 days in Iceland for my honeymoon.
Photography started for me 9 years ago, and it’s been an anchor in my life ever since, both personally and professionally. Many people think of photographs as static memories tied to a single moment. I’ve found the opposite to be true. Photographs change over time, shaped by memory, distance, and who we’ve become since. They’re windows into the lives we’ve lived and the ways we’ve grown.
That perspective has been shaped by years spent photographing landscapes and people, and it continues to influence the way I document a wedding day. With attention to the quiet moments, the loud celebrations, and everything in between.
For me, photography is about honesty. Because honest moments are the ones that continue to grow with you over time. And in the end, isn’t that what we take photographs for? To remember life as it was, and to see how far we’ve come.
